Homeland Security

Dedicated Resources for a Critical Mission

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is entrusted with protecting our borders, enforcing our immigration and customs laws, responding to emergencies and disasters, and defending against the threat of terrorism. This complex mission comes with challenges and responsibilities unique to DHS. Chief among them is the need to overcome the constraints of legacy applications, infrastructure, data and processes to create one DHS.

In recognition of the importance of this mission, Agilex has formed an independent business unit to meet the specialized requirements of homeland security. Each of the leaders of this team brings extensive experience in working with DHS and its various components since its inception. Through this approach, the programs we support benefit from a dedicated account team with in-depth, hands on knowledge of the agency’s mission, requirements and environment. As a result of the team’s dedication, the Homeland Security Sector has grown rapidly to become one of the largest sectors within Agilex.

Deep Technical and Domain Expertise

Our Homeland Security team supports a number of critical programs throughout DHS, including those within U.S Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the U.S. Secret Service, National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD) and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Through successful engagements with these organizations, Agilex has established an enviable reputation for providing innovative thinking, world-class talent with deep technical expertise, and measurable results that positively impact the DHS mission. Another important differentiator is the greater accountability and responsiveness that our mission-first approach enables.

In terms of our capabilities, we are a leader in infrastructure optimization, datacenter management and migration, and application development. The Agilex Solution Center™ methodology that we have used to support DHS encapsulates our company’s core tenets, which is to provide noteworthy subject matter experts who can leverage a client’s existing investments to drive cost out of the equation to realize the value of the information. These professionals capitalize on enterprise architecture best practices and documented processes to help IT organizations modernize applications, consolidate datacenters and standardize infrastructure. By facilitating a multidisciplinary approach, they also help program development and operations teams work together more collaboratively and efficiently.

For the development of new applications, we are also a recognized leader in the use of agile software development practices. These more iterative, incremental and empirical approaches bring greater flexibility, transparency and control to the management of major programs. This results in greater developer productivity, higher quality output and lower project risk. We also excel at development on the Microsoft platform.

Another key focus is information management. We have developed specialized techniques and statistical models for the analysis of structured and unstructured data within the Intelligence and Homeland Security domains. We also offer significant experience in developing collaboration capabilities for the sharing of sensitive and classified data.
